Some shots from the Queen’s Speech which I was lucky to get to cover for parliament again for the 5th year last week, rehearsal and the main event.
The very suave and friendly Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England. If the economy does go belly up he could easily get work as a George Clooney lookalike..
Sad to hear of passing of the national treasure of broadcasting that was Sir Terry Wogan, lucky to get chance to get a snap last year with fellow broadcasting legend John Humphrys. He was of course friendly, polite and as courteous as expected.
It really was a fruitful 48hrs in Hanoi, so here’s yet more pictures of the locals and yes, some of them are on bikes of course..
Sheltering from an impending monsoon style downpour, literally stumbled upon the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, Vietnam’s first national university dating from 1070. I was also lucky to stumble into some wonderfully colourful graduation celebrations.
Had an amazing few days in Vietnam last week, including a couple of days walking the streets of wonderful Hanoi where it’s impossible not to be impressed by the sheer range of things that people manage to transport on two wheels. If it’s not nailed down, you can get it on your bike. If it is nailed to something, put that on the bike too.
